From the early days of offering land transportation service, to providing total logistics solution, we have always understood what our customers need: a trusted partner who can provide personalised care, whether it’s about shipping of goods or distributing products to their ultimate customers/end users. This brand promise is reinforced in the way we express ourselves through our logo. The Pan Ocean logo is updated to maximise the impact and retention value of our brand name. The new logo retains much of core elements of the logo that represented Pan Ocean to our customers since the beginning of our operation. And we believe that Pan Ocean’s core values have remained the same since the first day.
The red is used to reflect our focus and passion to continue to serve our customers and move forward with them. This colour of passion is well balanced with grey, which compliments the primary colour well and creates harmony for the logo. The grey colour anchors the various design elements to come together and articulate our stance as being caring and trustworthy to our customers. As a strong yet neutral colour, grey complements the vibrant red colour and gives a sense of steadiness and assurance.
History
Pan Ocean Group of Companies is one of the few companies in Singapore that has a history dating back to the 1960’s. Its founding member, Mr Lau Kee Seng, who was also the founder of Ocean Transportation Pte Ltd in the 1960s, established Pan Ocean Transport Company in 1979. From the humble beginning of 5 employees, it has grown into a total logistics group, offering a spectrum of services to both local and several overseas customers. Pan Ocean’s one-stop, Full-service approach enables it to customise solutions for its customers’current and future needs.
Over the years, the company’s growth has been driven by its desire to provide the best service its customers deserve. This ethos has set Pan Ocean apart from its competitors. Today, the business has grown to become a total logistics solution provider, offering transportation, warehousing and freight forwarding, to general insurance coverage.
Pan Ocean has grown organically for a large part of its history. More recently, it has successfully acquired synergistic businesses that have enhanced its capability to serve its customers in a holistic manner.
